Tonight the Denver Outlaws will begin the second half of their season against the Ohio Machine in their annual Fourth of July game. The Outlaws started out the season on a tear, and now sit in third placed, tied with the Boston Cannons.
The Outlaws can put the ball in the net, as they are second in the league in scoring just behind Boston. They are fifth in goals against, but Jesse Schwartzman remains one of the best in the league in goaltending.
One interesting note for the Outlaws is their face offs. They saw an early injury to Stephen Robarge, and last week picked up Nolan Godfrey to help out on faceoffs.
The Outlaws schedule for the second half is as follows-
July 4th vs Ohio
July 14 vs Charlotte
July 19 @ Boston
July 28 @ Hamilton
August 4th @ Rochester
August 11th @ Chesapeake
After two games against the expansion teams, Denver faces a tough schedule. It is very hard to win at Boston, while Hamilton and Rochester will be making playoff pushes. Chesapeake is also the best team in the league right now.
Luckily they will not have to face the red-hot Lizards, but what should be interesting to watch is their offense. Can players like Terry Kimener and Jeremy Sieverts keep it up?
