The second straight Friday the 13th on the calendar could prove unlucky again for many teams throughout the NCAA Division III schedule as twelve games will be played on March 13, 2015, seventy-nine on the March 14 and ten games on March 15. For Friday, the Emmanuel College Saints (Mass.) will face off against the Alfred University Saxons in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Hilbert College’s Hawks will play the Greensboro College Pride in Greensboro, NC. King’s College (Pa.) will play the Keystone College Giants in La Plume, PA in what promises to be an interesting game between the two teams. Endicott College will play the Amherst College Lord Jeffs in Amherst, MA. The Millsaps Majors will play the Birmingham Southern Panthers in Birmingham, a conference game important to both teams. For Saturday’s slate of games, major contests include Neumann University at Alvernia College, Susquehanna at Elizabethtown in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Bates College will play at Trinity (Conn.). Trinity’s Bantams are coming off two straight losses to Western New England and Williams. The Bates Bobcats are coming off a victory versus Roger Williams. Muhlenberg’s Mules are at home in Scotty Wood Stadium versus the Lycoming College playing a good match up versus the Warriors. Wesleyan (Conn.) will play Middlebury at 2:00 p.m. as Middlebury looks to extend its three game winning streak.
Massachusetts Maritime will play versus Maine Maritime at Throggs Neck, NY, as the two teams play for the second annual Maritime Cup. The Piedmont Lions are coming off a difficult loss to the Transylvania Pioneers as they prepare to host Wesley in a neutral site game at Fort Mill, S.C. The Johnson & Wales (RI) Wildcats will play host to Husson in Providence, as they try and build momentum after their first win of the season last week versus Becker. Western Connecticut plays host to Plattsburgh St. in a game that has been moved to Albertus Magnus College’s campus in New Haven, CT.
To wrap up the weekend, Sunday sees Denison take on Aurora College, Western New England take on Saint Lawrence. Colorado College hosts Vassar in a pivotal match up for the two teams. Massachusetts Maritime and Maritime (N.Y.) in the second game of the weekend to decide the Maritime Cup. Thomas plays Wheelock, Muskingum plays a defiant Defiance College who are looking for their first win of the season in New Concord, Ohio.
Catholic University hosts Scranton in a very crucial game for both clubs. Ursinus hosts Rennselaer in a neutral site game at Cold Spring Harbor High School on Long Island. In the last few games of the weekend, Centenary (LA) hosts Lasell in Georgetown, Texas as Centenary looks for its second win of the season. The Lindenwood Lions seek to extend their perfect season as they play the winless Fontbonne University Griffins at home in St. Charles, Missouri.
