Do or Die for Whitby Warriors

With a victory tonight, the Six Nations Arrows will be crowned  Ontario Jr. A Championship for the first time since 2007.
The defending National Champions look to keep their playoff hopes alive tonight and continue their hunt to capture their second Minto Cup in four years.
The Arrows have outscored the defending Minto Cup Champions Warriors 31-11 in the opening three games. Six Nations have been led by Johnny Poweless who has netted an impressive 57 points(21 G, 36 A) in just 12 playoff games.
The Rochester Knighthawk sharpshooter has tallied seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in the three Ontario Jr. A Championship finals.
Despite Whitby’s offensive struggles, veteran Austin Shanks has continued his solid playoff production with seven points(2 G, 5 A) in the opening three games of the league finals.
Coach Derek Keenan will need more offensive production from his top guns if the Warriors hope to extend their series. Reilly O’Connor and Ryan Keenan have struggled to find the back of the net in the Ontario Jr. A finals, just combining for five points between the two veterans.
Arrows netminder Doug Jamieson has been stellar during the 2014 playoffs, posting a league best 5.94 goals against average along with a .829 save percentage, second best among all playoff goaltenders.
Game 4’s faceoff is set for 8 p.m. tonight at Iroquois Park Arena in Whitby tonight.
