Grand Rapids, MI- The Grand Rapids Dragonfish Jr’s and Sr’s are hosting the first ever Lax vs Cancer (box edition) on Saturday October 5th 2013. Funds raised will be donated to Susan G. Koeman Breast Cancer foundation and the Van Andel Institute for Cancer and Parkinson’s Research.
Teams that are invited include, Chicago Outlaws (CILL), Detroit Coney Dogs (CILL), Milwaukee Marauders (CILL), Grand Rapids Dragonfish JR’s and SR’s (CILL), Lansing Lancers (CILL 2014 hopefuls) and GVSU Lakers.
Games will be held at the Cedar Rock Sportsplex 4758 Cornfield Dr, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. The first game will start at 9am and last all day long till the last game, which will feature Grand Rapids vs Chicago, that will start at 7:30pm. Admission for the day will be $10. Proceeds will benefit both charities. There will also be auctions, raffles and give aways, the Dragonfish will also be selling the shirts right off their backs.
