Edmonton Rush(es) to 11-0

Last night the Edmonton Rush (11-0) made it 11 in a row by dominating the Buffalo Bandits (8-3) by a score of 14-5.  With the win, the Rush have now defeated every team in the NLL this season.

After trailing 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, the Rush took the lead just 4-3 at 2:58 of the second quarter, but 17 seconds later the Bandits tied it at 4.  That would be as close as the Bandits would get.

Edmonton then went on an eight goal run that lasted 34 minutes and completely shut the Bandits offense down.  Edmonton was 6-9 on the power play, and out shot the Bandits 57-38.

It was a complete attack by the Rush.  Curtis Knight (3G/1A), Zack Greer (3G/3A), Adrian Sorichetti (3G) led the onslaught of goals.  Mark Matthews (1G/6A0 and Cory Conway (1G/7A) chipped in also.

Once again Aaron Bold was spectacular only allowing 5 goals on 38 shots.

The schedule doesn’t get easier for the Rush.  Next Weekend they play back to back games on the road.  Saturday they visit the Knighthawks at 7:30.  Edmonton defeated the Knighthawks back on February 3rd in Edmonton by a score of 8-7.  On Sunday they travel to face the Toronto Rock at 3pm.  The Rush defeated the Rock 11-10 in Edmonton as well back on February 28th.
