In a stunner earlier this morning, Israel defeated Germany to advanced to the championship round where they will play the fourth seed in the Blue Division. There are several more games today kicking off at 1pm as teams figure out their fate in the brackets.
Games to Watch
New Zealand vs Scotland- 1pm
Switzerland vs Wales- 1pm
Belguim vs Uganda- 3pm
Finland vs Netherlands- 4pm
Czech Republic vs Ireland- 4:30pm
Poland vs Sweden- 7:30pm
New Zealand and Scotland are two of the best teams overall in this tournament, yet only one of them gets to move on to a championship round. Both teams are 4-0 so other than Israel/Germany, this might be the best non-Blue Division match of the day. The winner of this will likely have to face off with Canada tomorrow.
Both of Wales and Switzerland 3-1, Wales has had the much tougher schedule. A win here means a dance with with the winner of Ireland-Czech Republic, who face of tonight as well.
Both Belguim and Uganda don’t have much of a shot of finishing with a high ranking, but Uganda picked up their first win yesterday and watching them has been fun.
Finland or the Netherlands, whichever team wins, will play the winner of Poland and Sweden tomorrow.
