According to sources, the Minnesota Swarm are undergoing an extreme makeover for 2015 NLL season. It came first in what seems to be a drastic change in philosophy when the Swarm traded their first overall pick to Edmonton along with goaltender Tyler Carlson and getting Brodie MacDonald in return.
One source indicated that the Carlson trade indicated that trade of philosophy, and our sources have indicated he requested the trade, but more than anything, it seems the next inevitable shoe to fall is Tyler Hass.
According to multiple sources, a Hass trade has been in the works and it seems like it will happen soon. Edmonton and Vancouver are possible options for the transition player. Edmonton has made several trades with the Swarm recently, including two this offseason (Carlson and the Alex Turner trade).
Another option that has been mentioned by informed sources include the Vancouver Stealth who are looking to have a big offseason. Now that the Rush have the top pick, the Stealth have more limited options at the second pick. Minnesota likely would have taken Jeremy Noble and now instead a player Vancouver wanted might be gone.
The situation with Hass is he likely will want to play for a west coast team now that Minnesota is in the east, and no one knows where Philadelphia will end up.
Watch for more as this continues, and expect to see Hass traded soon. Either way, Minnesota will look very different next year.
