CLax: Inferno look to burn the Blizzard in week eight

In week 8 of Clax the (4-2) Brampton Inferno will play their second game of the weekend against the Barrie Blizzard (0-6). In the last meeting between these two Brampton dominated and walked away with a 17-13 win.

For Barrie in this game they will want to try and put pressure on the Inferno early as they will be tired as this will be their second game of the weekend as they play Friday night. Barrie will want to strike early and force Brampton to dig deep and work from behind. Barrie’s biggest problem this season has been their lack of offense as Caleb Wiles and Mike Teeter have had to carry the load and have got very little help from the rest of their team. Barrie will need their secondary scoring to contribute in this game if they hope to win. Barrie will need their goaltending to be better as well as Scotty Komer and Derek Collins have both struggled this year. Barrie will need Komer to stand tall in net as Brampton’s offense will be pressuring him all night.

For the Inferno they will need to come out strong against the Blizzard and avoid being sluggish. The Inferno’s offense has more than enough tools to open up the floor and beat Barrie’s defense. If the Inferno offense can crack Komer early it will be an easy win as the Blizzard have not been able to deal with adversity this season. Brampton will need Jay Preece to be solid in net and hold off the Barrie pressure early in order to allow the inferno to build a lead. The Inferno on defense will want to key in on Caleb Wiles and Mike Teeter if they can stop them they will shut down Barrie’s offense.

In the end this looks like it will be another loss for the Blizzard unless they can capitalize on a tired Inferno team. The Inferno will need to dig deep early and come out firing if they can build an early lead they will walk away with an easy victory.
