Joe Resetarits Returns Home to Buffalo

On NLL draft day we saw the Calgary Roughnecks trade former first round pick Joe Resetarits to the Buffalo Bandits. We caught up with him about coming “home”.

Resetarits did not expect to hear his name involved in the NLL draft, but that is what he heard when he got traded to the Bandits. “Yeah, I was surprised” Resetarits said. “But trades are part of the business. It’s going to be awesome to play in my hometown and contribute to win a championship”

Last season with the Riggers Resetarits scored 24 points in 14 games. He was the fifth overall pick in the draft, but was traded for the 10th overall in 2013 who turned out to be Karsen Leung. “I loved my time in Calgary.” said Resetarits. “The things I learned from the coaching staff and the guys I met out there were awesome.”

Resetarits is a native of upstate New York and playing with Buffalo is close to home for him. The Bandits are a team who need to rebuild to make the playoffs again and Resetarits will be a big part of that.

“I am very excited to be a Bandit. Its amazing to be playing for the team I watched as a kid growing up. My family and friends get to see me play live now. It’s going to be awesome to play in front of the best fanbase in the league.”
