Philadelphia Wings left handed forward Jordan Hall joined Wings Nest on Tuesday night to discuss the Wings clinching a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference last week, and their last game of the regular season this week against the Washington Stealth.
Hall’s goal in overtime against Toronto gave the Wings the playoff berth for the second season in a row. “It was an interesting play. I was just lucky enough that we both came around the net at the same time and Drew [Westervelt] had his head up”
With Rochester last season, Hall tore his ACL and missed the end of the regular season and came back just in time for the Wings regular season. “It was tough. I got in touch with a great physical therapist I did it before so I kind of knew what it took to get back”
The Wings went on a five game losing streak in the middle of the season, but now the Wings are in while three other teams fight for the last two spots. If the Knighthawks lose, the Wings will get a home playoff game. “It’s crazy to think that so many teams can be out or move all the way to second. We just need to focus, it would be big to get a home playoff game. It would be great for the ownership group to get a playoff game at home. It’s tough to think that we could win and not get that home playoff game.”
