So I’m on my way to the All-Star game! What a ride it has been to get to this point in my life. Doors are opening everywhere around me, and all I can do is say Thank You.
There were numerous times in my career where I really didn’t think I would make it to where I am today. I think about all the disappointments of my life and the regrets that I have had over the years and I get happy knowing how it turned out.
Its always great to feel like an underdog for the majority of your career and beat the odds with your ambition, not just your hard work. When I used to hear all the hate about me, I always promised those who opposed me that one day I was going to give them something to be mad about.
You don’t really have to say much when you know you did everything for the love and not the hate. That hasn’t always been my angle; I used to love to respond, but the best talk has been through my play. I laugh at hate and downplay positivity.
Sounds weird right? It works if you know you’re not content with your position in whatever you choose to put 110% into. Always be willing to push the envelope and never be satisfied.
