Kevin Tait was brought in to the Colorado Sabertooths as a veteran presence after playing in the National Lacrosse League with the Colorado Mammoth.
He has helped lead the Sabertooths to the MILA Championship game in just their first season on the turf.
“It’s an honor to represent Colorado in the championships.” says Tait. “There is still a little skepticism in the lacrosse community when it comes to any team from Colorado. The state has some of the most athletic and gifted athletes. I’m glad to take our show on the road and bring home the trophy.”
For a guy who has played at the top level in the NLL, Tait has enjoyed the experience with the Sabertooths. ”
The experience has been top notch, starting with the ownership and management. Matt Ogden has made sure we have the best of everything, from practice facilities, game venue, uniforms and coaches. Bringing on Brian Langtry and John Gallant has taken this team over the top. Learning professional style offense and defense from two of the games best in their positions has shown with the numbers we put up on the scoreboard. Our teammates are some of the hardest working guys I have ver played with. All aspects make playing for this team an excellent experience.”
And how can Colorado bring home the title against Grand Rapids? “We are just going to play aggressive, rough, Sabertooths lacrosse.”
