For the fourth straight season, the Rochester Knighthawks will host the Minnesota Swarm in a free preseason game at The Blue Cross Arena. The 8:00 p.m. game on Saturday, December 6th will be the Knighthawks first since making National Lacrosse League history by winning three straight Champion’s Cups.
Each fan will need a ticket to attend the game, which can be reserved online by clicking here, http://www.knighthawks.com/2015preseasongame. The preseason game against Minnesota has become a holiday tradition for the Knighthawks.
“Welcoming Minnesota to Rochester as our opponent for a preseason exhibition game officially kicks off the 2015 season for the Knighthawks,” said Knighthawks President Lewis Staats. “Both the Knighthawks and Swarm look forward to what has become an annual event. It gives both teams a chance to let their players, and especially their rookies, play in a game-like atmosphere at The Blue Cross Arena. As usual, we expect a big crowd, and we know our passionate Knighthawks fans are just as anxious as we are to get back on the turf and get the 2015 season underway.”
On December 6th, fans can purchase individual tickets for the 2015 season at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office. There is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming season after the team brought back veteran transition man Jordan Hall and selected high-scoring forward Jeremy Noble with the second overall pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft.
The Knighthawks will open their 21st season on Saturday, January 3rd against the rival Toronto Rock at The Blue Cross Arena. Prior to the game, the Knighthawks will celebrate their latest NLL Championship by raising their 2014 Championship Banner.
