On Sunday there were two games on the WLA schedule as the Nanaimo Timbermen faced off against the New Westminster Salmon Bellies along with the Langley Thunder taking on the Maple Ridge Burrards. On Sunday night the Nanaimo Timbermen take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies. The Timbermen opened their season Friday night with an 8-7 win over the Burnaby Lakers, while this will be the Salmonbellies first game of the season. Yesterday the Brampton Excelsiors hired head coach Clem D’Orazio to replace Mike Hasen as the coach of the Excelsiors. D’Orazio is formerly the head coach of the Ajax Rock who moved to Oakville this off season. He was fired before the move. The majority of the Excelsiors lineup is returning this season. Shamrocks Trade for Conway

The Victoria Shamrocks have made big moves all off season, first acquiring forward Scott Ranger of the Calgary Roughnecks and then goaltender Matt Vinc of the Rochester Knighthawks.
