John Grant Jr Sidelined in FIL Tournament

The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) announced today that forward John Grant Jr. will not be playing for Canada in the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Lacrosse Championships that begin next week in Denver, Colorado.  He will be joining Coach Randy Mearns’ staff on the sidelines to help Canada win its third World Championship and will be replaced on the 23-man roster by Burlington, Ontario native Jordan MacIntosh. The Brooklin Redmen (9-1) strengthened their grip on first place in the Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) standings Thursday night with an 11-9 win over the Peterborough Lakers (5-6). The Brooklin Redmen made a splash yesterday at the 2014 Major Series Lacrosse trade deadline as they acquired goaltender Mike Poulin from the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks.
