Denver Advances Past Ohio State to Final Four

May 18, 2015

Denver held on to beat Ohio State 15-13 after Ohio initially pulled ahead 7-1 in Saturday’s matchup. It seems despite a loss for the Buckeyes, they are indeed for real and have the necessities to go all the way in the near future. Despite a win for DU, they played one of their more sloppy games this past weekend and will most assuredly need to regroup before this upcoming Championship…

Launch Seek Second Win; Face Defending Champ Denver

May 16, 2015

Denver takes its talent to South Beach on Saturday. Well, an hour or so north of South Beach, really, but you get the idea. Florida is coming off their first win of the year. If the MVP is understood as the individual who is the most important to their team, is Kieran McArdle not that person? Most people’s knee-jerk response would be Paul Rabil, but put him on a different…

All Eyes on Denver in Quarter Finals

May 16, 2015

BUILD UP Denver, the Lacrosse Capital of the West, is going nuts this week. As are we media personnel due to the movement in the last week. As Bill Tierney once told me in an interview, “The entire west region kind of looks to DU as their ‘home’ team.” Families are taking off weekend work, players asking for early birthday presents as tickets, and coaches preaching for their teams to…

May 14, 2015

After finishing in second place in the NLL West Division the Colorado Mammoth’s season came to an end last weekend with an 11-6 loss to the Calgary Roughnecks in the first round of the playoffs. Following two years where the Mammoth finished below .500, their 9-9 record was certainly an improvement, but the early exit from the postseason has to be considered disappointing. Colorado got off to a torrid start,…
