They faced their NLL Western Division Rivals the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday May 3, in Calgary at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Mammoth led the regular season series against the Riggers 2-1, both wins in spectacular OT fashion. Although Calgary was the higher seed with a record of 12-6, Mammoth fans were hopeful…
Photo Credit: Di Miller Under the sunny skies of Denver, Colorado, and in front of a hometown crowd of 6,944 fans, the Denver Outlaws hosted the Ohio Machine who were hoping to stop the Outlaws’ 21 consecutive game winning streak. It was Star Wars night for Denver, and the game was called “May the Fourth Be With You.” Both teams wore Star Wars jerseys which will be auctioned on Monday…
Being the Colorado Beat Writer for In Lacrosse We Trust, Denver Outlaws GM Tony Seaman invited me to attend their practices. It was a pleasure getting to finally meet Tony in person. I also got to meet Outlaws Head Coach B.J. O’Hara. I have seen many high school and college lacrosse practices, but to get the opportunity to watch an MLL practice was amazing. On Sunday May 4th the Denver…

Both teams will be donning Star Wars themed jerseys. In one of the most bizarre stories this NLL season, Colorado Mammoth rookie goaltender Dillon Ward has his goalie gear stolen this week, according to the team. The Mammoth were the last team in the west to qualify for the playoffs and they take on Calgary tomorrow night. Ward, the third overall pick in the NLL draft this season, took over as Colorado’s starting goalie during the season and has…

The Mammoth won the regular season series 2-1. The first two games between the teams during the regular season were in Calgary where the teams split. Calgary came away victorious in…
Can you believe we only have a week left until Selection Sunday? It feels like ages since the season started back in February and just as the weather has started to heat up, so to has the games we’ve seen and the players performances. Miles Thompson continues to pile up the points in chuncks, Jordan Wolf looks to be playing his best lacrosse when his team needs it most and…
I am a Southern California native, so my trip out to beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, Florida began with a 10:30 pm red eye out of Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday evening. Besides my row mate on the plane being a 6-year-old pug named Peter, my flight out was rather uneventful and I was able to sleep for a majority of the flight. I traveled out to Florida with Denver Outlaws…
The NLL saw a lot of odd performances this weekend as top teams struggled early in games and non-contending teams held their own. In the end, the big guns projected to continue into playoffs were able to pull off victories (Rush, Rock, Mammoth, etc.) With playoffs right around the corner now, many teams will look to prepare extra or begin their off seasons with restructuring and drawing boards. First Star:…
