MLL: Bayhawks snuff out Blaze

June 18, 2018

Despite an early second-quarter lead by Atlanta, the Chesapeake Bayhawks defeated the Blaze 9-6 on Saturday night at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in a chippy game that almost had a few fights break out. Interestingly, despite the roughness, zero penalties were called in the game. The rather low-scoring game was pretty shocking given Chesapeake’s ability to score goals seemingly at will. Equally shocking was the fact that both Myles Jones…

MLL: Cannons cannot against Blaze

May 1, 2018

After a 12-9 loss to the Atlanta Blaze on Saturday night, the Boston Cannons drop to 0-2 on the season. Boston played much stronger than in last week’s game, a lopsided 26-7 loss to Charlotte, as shown by the score and the number of players on the scoresheet. However, it was not enough to overcome a stronger Atlanta team, who relied on momentum runs throughout the game to give them…

The beginning of the regular season is important as most teams are dealing with players who are still playing indoor ball and college draft picks still in school. During the first four weeks, MLL teams must avoid falling victim to an 0-4 or 1-3 record as such starts makes…
