The last two seasons for the Edmonton Rush has been something for the fans in Edmonton to talk about. In 2012 they came within thirty minutes of winning the Champions Cup, and last season they go 7-1 on the road, but get eliminated in round one. We now look ahead to 2014 for the Rush. Calvert Hall High School was the host to two Top 15 teams earlier today as North Carolina and Ohio State scrimmaged each other as part of the MRB Thumbs Up Event. The event was used as a fundraising event in order to support the Michael R. Breschi Scholarship. The 2013 All-American Women’s Lacrosse team consisted of seven New England area players. Among those are Mikaela Rix (Midfielder, Boston College), Covie Stanwick (Attack, Boston College), and Lauren Kahn (Midfielder, UConn). Rix and Stanwick are both entering their junior year at BC, having finished off last year’s season starting all 20 of their games.
