The Florida Launch end their three game home stand tonight with a contest against the Charlotte Hounds. After slow starts to the season for both clubs, Charlotte and Florida are coming of impressive victories last weekend. As the Hounds and Launch remain at the bottom of the standings, they are the only two teams to have knocked off the New York Lizards this year.
Charlotte and Florida each made a few more moves than normal before this years trade deadline and it looks to have helped both rosters. Each team needed to make adjustments as they had a combined 2 wins through the first eight weeks of the season.
Kieran McArdle is having another breakout season, the Saint John’s alum leads the league in goals with 33. Kieran is also 3rd in the league in points, 45.
Last year, the season series was split. This year that will be decided in a matter of 8 days. The Launch and Hounds will be back at it again, as the two sides finish their regular season series on Saturday, July 11 in Charlotte.
Charlotte is in a position to possibly win out and make some noise inn e playoff race. Splitting the series with he last place Launch would only hurt their chances at the Steinfeld Cup.
