Hofstra, the number one seed in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, takes on the number four seed University of Delaware at James M. Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, NY at 7 pm.

Hofstra returns to the CAA Championship for the first time since 2011 when they were also the first seed. Hofstra has two CAA titles and this will be the team’s ninth appearance in the tournament. The most recent title came in 2008 when the Pride defeated top-seeded Drexel 10-9 in overtime.
1st Quarter:

UD GOAL: 1-1 Steve DeLargy scores his 15th of the season at the 8:53 mark of the first quarter to get Delaware on the board.
HU GOAL: 2-1 Hofstra re-takes the lead with Ryan Rielly’s second goal of the season at the 11:20 mark.
UD GOAL: 2-2 Delaware’s Dan Keane bounces it past Selva for his 26th of the season from Beau Jones at 14:01.
END OF FIRST QUARTER: Teams tied 2-2. Delaware’s Conor Peaks has five saves in the first 15 minutes. Hofstra’s Kris Clarke is 5-5 at the face-off x.
2nd Quarter:
UD GOAL: 2-3 Delaware takes its first lead with Dan Keane’s second of the game assisted by Beau Jones at 5:05.
UD GOAL: 2-4 Brian Kormandy gives the Blue Hens a two-goal lead off of a pass from Steve DeLargy with less than 40 seconds to go in the first half.
END OF FIRST HALF: Delaware leads Hofstra 4-2 going into the break. Delaware scored two unanswered goals in the second quarter to gain the lead. Hofstra’s Kris Clarke has won 7-of-8 face-offs. The Pride picked up 22 ground balls to Delaware’s 14. Hofstra’s outshot Delaware 14-6, with eight Pride shots on goal to four Delaware SOG. Blue Hens goalie Conor Peaks has six saves to end the first half.
3rd Quarter:
HU GOAL: 3-4 Ryan Rielly scores his second of the game to start the second half sixteen seconds in.
UD GOAL: 3-5 Jeff Heath scores his 14th for Delaware at the 2:33 mark of the third quarter.
HU GOAL: 4-5 John Reicherter answers right back for Hofstra to cut the deficit to one.
