The Ohio Machine, Ohio’s Major League Lacrosse (MLL) team, announced Wednesday the extension of its contract with Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) that will keep Selby Stadium as the Machine’s home for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The Machine also announced a new partnership with TicketReturn and launched its 2014 season ticket sales.
“Historic Selby Stadium continues to be the best location in Ohio for an unforgettable lacrosse experience for our incredible fans and we are proud to call it our home,” said Machine President and GM John Algie. “With our continued emphasis on affordable, family-friendly entertainment, we will continue to deliver the best value in professional sports featuring the best lacrosse players in the world.”
Selby Stadium seats approximately 9,100 and is an OmniGrass artificial playing surface. Selby Stadium most recently underwent a restoration project that included a new, two-level press box, new bleacher seats and refurbished locker rooms, as well as a state of the art video board and sound system. The Machine has called Selby Stadium its home since its 2012 inaugural season and will play all seven regular season home games and possibly an MLL playoff game at Selby during the upcoming 2014 season.
“Ohio Wesleyan is pleased to see the Ohio Machine continue to play in historic Selby Stadium,” said OWU President Dr. Rock Jones. “We think it’s a perfect venue for the Machine’s home games and for Major League Lacrosse.”
Along with the Selby Stadium extension, the Machine has also launched a new ticketing platform with TicketReturn for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. By partnering with TicketReturn, the Machine is able to improve the ability to service its season ticket accounts and offer more benefits to its customers. One of the new features allows season ticket holders to manage their season ticket account online in addition to being able to contact the Machine office for assistance.
The Machine’s 2014 season ticket pricing ranges with General Admission at $92 to a Field Level Box at $2,400 and includes seven regular season home games plus a 2014 MLL playoff game. Information on 2014 season tickets can be found at www.theohiomachine.com/season-tickets
