The only player from the MILA to play in the NLL is Cam Holding, who signed with the Colorado Mammoth last season, and he has re-signed back with Colorado for 2013.
Holding played in every Mammoth game last season as a rookie. The transition player created eleven turnovers in the Mammoth’s favor.
“Cam played a major role in our success this past season,†said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett via a team press release. “He is a fast, aggressive young player who was part of our stellar rookie class.â€
Holding is just 22 years old and he has led the Grand Rapids Dragonfish to an undefeated regular season. He helped the Dragonfish win the 2011 MILA Championship, and they are back in the playoffs again in 2012 after clinching the Mid States Division.
He picked up 51 loose balls in a defensive role with the Mammoth while scoring four goals. He remains the only MILA player to date to move on to the professional leagues.
