Mammoth Trade for Jackson Decker

The Colorado Mammoth have traded for 23-year-old forward Jackson Decker from the Calgary Roughnecks before the NLL draft.

Decker, 6’1 and 194lbs, played division two with Linestone College and won the national player of the year award in 2012.“We continue to improve our team this off-season, with Drew [Westervelt] last week and now Jackson today,” said Mammoth president and general manager Steve Govett via press release.

Last season Decker played in four games and picked up one assist. Decker was a second round pick last season and is a righty shooter, currently considered last on their depth chart. However, Westervelt’s addition also creates an influx of rightys for the Mammoth so it is an interesting pick up.

Deceker is a native of Port Moody, British Columbia. He should get a chance to fight out a roster spot during the pre season with the Mammoth.
