News / Notes / Observations:
Battle of the State Champs goes to Rice
In a match-up of the 2012 state champions, Brother Rice knocked off Forest Hills Central, 13-5. Sergio Perkovic led the way in the victory. You may read that a number of times this year.
Country Day Starts Strong
The Yellow Jackets begin the season 2-0 with a tough 8-7 win against Birmingham to go along with a victory over De La Salle.
Toss a life preserver Holt’s way
It’s never too late, but Holt is getting off to a slow start. They dropped two tough games to East Grand Rapids and Rockford. Will it make the team tournament tough? We shall see.
