Buffalo Bandits forward Mike Hominuck today announced his retirement from the National Lacrosse League.
“I wish I could’ve played one more year, but it wasn’t in the cards and I’m happy going out a Bandit,” the 32-year old said. “I will always be a supporter and continue cheering for the Black and Orange!”
Hominuck played a total of three seasons and 22 games with the Bandits over his career, compiling 35 points (20+15) to go along with 95 loose balls in that time. After suiting up for Buffalo during the 2004 and 2005 campaigns, he was reacquired prior to the 2013 season and finished his career with the club.
Appearing in a total of 102 NLL contests between Buffalo, Portland, Minnesota, Edmonton, Toronto and Philadelphia, Hominuck tallied 127 goals, 184 assists and 418 loose balls. The Welland, Ontario native also added 14 points (7+7) in five career playoff games with Toronto and Philadelphia.
