Senior – Cameron Flint – Midfield – Boston Cannons – Denver Pioneers
The Boston Cannon`s 6th overall draft pick in the 2013 Collegiate Draft scored 3:44 into OT on Saturday afternoon to lift the Denver Pioneers (10-2) over the Loyola Greyhounds (9-3) in ECAC action. The Georgetown, ON native scored three other times in the 13-12 victory against the Greyhounds.
Flint is third in scoring for the Pioneers with 24 goals and six assists in 12 games played this season. In his four year career at the University of Denver, Flint has 116 points in 58 games.
Denver takes on Fairfield (7-5) at 3 pm in an ECAC matchup on April 20th.
Senior – John Ranagan – Midfield – Rochester Rattlers – Johns Hopkins Blue Jays
Johns Hopkins Blue Jays (7-4) midfield and Rochester Rattlers third round (17th overall) draft pick in 2013 scored two goals and had one assist in a 7-4 win over the University of Maryland (8-2) on Saturday. The Blue Jays and Ranagan picked up a big victory on the road versus the No.1 ranked team in the nation going into the weekend.
In 11 games this season, the Yorktown, NY native has 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points. The second team USILA All – American in 2012 has 89 points (55G, 34A) in 58 games in four seasons with the Blue Jays.
Navy (3-9) travels to Baltimore, MD on April 20th to take on Ranagan and the Blue Jays at 4 pm.
Senior – John Kemp – Goalie – Rochester Rattlers – Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Goaltender John Kemp of the Fighting Irish was drafted in the fourth round (25th overall) by the Rochester Rattlers in 2013. On Sunday, he backstopped Notre Dame (9-2) to a 10-8 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas (5-7). Kemp registered four saves in the win over the BEC rival; Georgetown.
The Potomac, MD native has started all 11 games this season for the Fighting Irish recording 92 saves and a 7.65 GAA.
Notre Dame’s next action is April 20th when Villanova (5-6) travels to Notre Dame, IN in a crucial BEC matchup.
Senior – Matt White- Attack – Charlotte Hounds – Virginia Cavaliers
Charlotte Hound’s 28th overall pick in the 2013 had an outstanding game in Friday night’s 19-16 loss to Duke (10-4). The Cavalier’s (5-7) starting attack man scored four times and had one assist versus the No. 7 ranked Blue Devils.
In 2013, White has 19 goals and 11 assists in 12 games. In four years at the University of Virginia, White has 74 goals and 121 points.
White and the Cavaliers host Bellarmine (7-4) on April 20th in their last game of the 2013 season.
