The Rochester Rattlers acquired 12 new players from this year ‘s MLL Supplemental Draft. Among the players, four attackman , five midfield, one faceoff specialist, one defense and one goalie were selected.
The most notable selection included veteran Matt Casey out of Syracuse, NY. The midfielder was selected 68th overall from the Ohio Machine. Casey has 53 points in seven season’s in the MLL recording 38 goals, 2-2pt goals and 13 assists.
Rochester’s highest pick was attackman David Di Maria, who was picked 10th overall from the Boston Cannons. The Lehigh graduate 13’ dressed in two games for Boston last season in his rookie campaign recording no points. He was a 2013 Tewaarton award nominee after recording a team high 47 points.
Another notable selection in 2013 was Dan Hardy, who was selected 20th overall. The Syracuse Alumni 09’ did not play in 2013, however he previously played for Rochester in 2012. Hardy has registered 31 goals, 1-2pt goal and 32 assists for 64 points in 35 career games. The Syracuse, NY native led his Alma matter to two NCAA Championships in 2008 and 2009.
