1. Kyle Whitlow – Brooklin Redmen
The 2015 fourth round pick of the Brooklin Redmen has made a seamless transition from the junior ranks, as he currently sits third in Brooklin Redmen scoring, behind only Shawn Williams and Mike Teeter. Whitlow has been a consistent offensive threat for a Redmen squad that is having trouble finding the back of the net this season. This past week Whitlow picked up three goals and two assists for five points in three games, with his most impressive performance coming last Wednesday against the Peterborough Lakers, when he scored two goals and one assist.

2. Reilly O’Connor – Brooklin Redmen
O’Connor was one of two graduating Whitby Warriors that the Redmen protected this past season and for good reason, as the youngster recorded three straight seasons of a 100-plus points while a member of the Warriors, including leading the league in scoring last season with 117 points in 20 games. While O’Connor has been less consistent offensively then fellow teammate Kyle Whitlow, he has racked up 11 points in six games for the Redmen this season, placing him fourth in team scoring. O’Connor got off to a slow start this week as he was held pointless against both Six Nations and Peterborough. However he exploded on Sunday night against the K-W Kodiaks, picking up two goals and three assists for five points.

3. Derek Searle – K-W Kodiaks
The fourth overall selection in the 2015 MSL draft, Derek Searle is arguably the best defensive rookie in the league this season. Searle has been excellent in his own end, and excelled in transition early on, making a very seamless tranistion from the Junior ranks to the pro game. Searle who’s sure to be a top NLL draft pick when he becomes eligible in 2017, has picked up four points and 14 penalty minutes in six games for the Kodiaks this season, with three assists coming this week in match up’s against Oakville and Brooklin. While Searle’s offensive production has been welcomed by the Kodiaks, his impact comes in his own zone, and he has arguably been the Kodiaks best defender this season.

4. Dan Lomas – Oakville Rock
Lomas was protected by the Oakville Rock this past season, as prior to this year the Rock had a working affiliation with the Burlington Chiefs Junior “A” program. Lomas was a late season call up with the Rock last season, appearing in four games, racking up nine goals and one assist for 10 points as a junior aged player. Needless to say Lomas has made a seamless transition from Junior to Major, however the goals haven’t been coming as rapidly this season, as Lomas has picked up just one on the season. However Lomas does have eight points in six games for the Rock this season, picking up a goal and seven assists. This past week Lomas was able to tally four assists in an OT loss to the K-W Kodiaks, before picking up a single assist in 8-5 loss to the Peterborough Lakers last Thursday night.

5. Josh Currier – Peterborough Lakers
Currier was protected by the Lakers this season following a 69 point season with the Jr. Lakers in 2014. Currier has performed admirably early on for the veteran laden Peterborough Lakers, taking full advantage every one of his few touches on offense. Currier is providing a spark plug type of game for the Lakers on their right side, setting hard picks and creating space for the likes of Steenhuis, Evans and Dickson. Not only is he finding his niche as a role player on the right side, he’s adding offense as well, as Currier as racked up three goals and one assist for four points in four games this season. This past week in wins against Brooklin and Oakville Currier picked up a goal and an assist for two points.
