We have come to the conclusion of week one and it was certainly one for the books. Trying to pick the 3 stars of the week is difficult enough, but to pick them after this week is unreal. A major upset in Calgary, an 11 goal explosion by Colorado and a comeback against the defending champions.
Three Stars Week 1
1–Rhys Duch–(Van). Duch led the Stealth to an 18-14 win over rival Calgary on the road. Duch had 4 goals and 5 assists on the night. He scored 2G/4A in the second half, part of an 11 goal outburst by Vancouver to defeat Calgary 18-14 on the road and start the 2015 season with a huge victory.
2–John Grant Jr.,–(Col). Grant Jr., scored 4 goals and 5 assists in Colorado’s 20-13 victory over the Swarm in Minnesota. Colorado scored 11 times in the final 15 minutes to turn a 10-9 deficit into a 7 goal victory. Grant registered 2 goals and 2 assists in the final stanza, both goals shorthanded and separated by 31 seconds.
3–Josh Sanderson & Rob Hellyer–(Tor) Both were big components in the Rocks comeback against Rochester. Josh Sanderson registered 7 assists in the opening night victory, with 5 of them being recorded in the first half alone. Rob Hellyer had 3 goals and 3 assists in the game. Registered 3G/1A in the first half alone keeping the Rock in the game at 9-7 after the first half.

New England Blackwolves: Pat Saunders 3G/1A, Kevin Crowley 2G/4A, Kyle Buchanan 3G/1A (including game winner), and Evan Kirk stood tall stopping 50/58 shots in victory.
Rochester: Cody Jamieson 2G/6A, and Dan Dawson 2G/4A in defeat.
Colorado: Adam Jones4G/2A, Sean Pollock 3G/3A, Athan Iannucci 2G/4A in a 20-13 win over Minnesota
Buffalo: Ryan Benesch 5G/2A in home opener victory over Edmonton
Minnesota: Shayne Jackson 3G/4A in a 20-13 defeat to Colorado
Rookie Watch: Miles Thompson picked up right were he left off in the pre-season scoring 3G/1A in a losing effort versus Colorado.
Number 1 overall pick Ben McIntosh registered 3 goals in a loss versus Buffalo
