For the Bayhawks, Saturday nights defeat will most likely come as one of the worst of the season. Jordan Hall scored at 1:55 of overtime to give the Hamilton Nationals a 12-11 victory over the Chesapeake Bayhawks at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Bayhawks (3-2) were led by two-goal performances from John Grant Jr., Ben Rubeor and Drew Westervelt. Goalie Kip Turner made 11 saves, including stopping Keogh with 32 seconds to play.
The Nationals (5-0) got career-high five-point efforts from Stephen Keogh and Kevin Cunningham. Two other Nationals reached milestones as Kevin Crowley set the team record with his a point in 20 straight games and goalie Brett Queener made 14 saves to surpass 400 stops as a member of the Nationals.
Next up for the Bayhawks is a game Thursday, June 6th at the Shuart Stadium against the New York Lizards (2-3). The Nationals are one of just two undefeated teams left in the league after Denver also won on Friday night.
