Today marks the 43rd NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Semifinals appearance in Championship history. This year’s Final Four is located at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Unseeded Cornell (12-3) plays #7 seeded Duke (12-5) at 2:30 p.m. Both Cornell and Duke have reached the Championship game once in the last 5 years while Duke won their last opportunity in 2010. Cornell is led by top prospect Rob Pannell while Duke is playing on borrowed time, coming back against Notre Dame last week to advance.
#1 seeded Syracuse (13-3) takes on #4 seeded Denver (12-4) at 5:00 p.m. Syracuse looks to advance to their 3rd Championship appearance in the last 6 years as Denver fights to play in their first ever Championship title. Syracuse defeated Yale 7-6 last week in overtime to avoid an upset against the Ivy league winners. Meanwhile, Denver had one of the best comebacks in NCAA history defeating North Carolina last week 11-10.
