NLL: Bandits Look to Stay Alive, Face Stealth

A loss tonight for the Buffalo Bandits could end their playoff hopes. If they lose and Rochester wins just one game weekend, the Bandits will head home in week 16 an eliminated team.

The Stealth are looking to clinch home field in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs after they clinched a seed last week. They have the tiebreaker over the Calgary Roughnecks, so a win tonight would give them home field in the case of a tie with their western rivals.

Buffalo has lost their last six games after starting the season out at 5-3, but now site at 5-9 and in last place in the NLL, and the only team outside of a playoff seed.

Stealth coach Chris Hall will coach his 152nd NLL game tonight, giving him the third most all time all by himself. They will be relying on Rhys Duch, who is tied for second in the NLL with 37 goals on the year and fourth with 81 points.

The Bandits have struggled to play disciplined all season, which would be a disaster tonight against a Stealth team that has a 46% chance on the power play with tons of scorers.

Anthony Cosmo, the Bandits netminder, is also a question mark with an injury. Will he play, and if he does, will he be able to man the net for Buffalo?

Game time is at 10pm eastern in Everett, Washington.
