The first wave of NLL cuts appear to be through as several teams have released players in the past two days. Starting with the Edmonton Rush, who released draft picks Mike DeGiorlamo and Mitch McAvoy along with defenseman Ben Snider.
The Rochester Knighthawks released goaltender Don Alton, leaving Brandon Styres on the roster as the third goalie. He did play this weekend against Minnesota. They also released rookie Ian Martin and undrafted free agent Brock Levick along with Colin McDowall who was just signed the other day.
The Minnesota Swarm placed Paxton Leroux on the protected list after he did not report. Both Mike Grimes, who was acquired from Vancouver this off season, and Pat Laconi, were placed on the hold out list.
The Toronto Rock released former top draft pick Micheal Lum-Walker and 2014 draft pick Darryl Robertson after their game against Calgary. Meanwhile, Vancouver has made by far the most cuts.
Released from the Stealth roster were draft picks DJ Saari and Steve Ferdanadni along with Chris Wardle, Brandon Smith, Johnnie Rae, Ryan Johnston, and Kevin Neufield.
