NLL Power Rankings: Hawks Fly High, Rock Roll on Up

A small schedule this past week with only two games being played, so not many changes this week.

But this weekend we have six games as the NLL will be in full swing.

Power Rankings   Week 3

(2) 2—Edmonton Rush (1-0)  Idle this past weekend.  Will face the Mammoth in Colorado’s second game of their Alberta weekend.

(6) 3—Toronto Rock (1-0)   The Rock scored early and often on Mike Poulin.  Stephan Leblanc’s 5 goals and Garrett Billings’ 9 assists helped the Rock to a home opener victory.  Rock travel to face Buffalo Friday night.

(4) 4—Philadelphia Wings (1-0)  Big test this weekend as the Wings face Rochester on Saturday night, then travel home to host the Bandits in their home opener Sunday at 4pm .

(7) 5—Minnesota Swarm (0-1) Idle last week, will have a big test as they face the Vancouver Stealth Saturday night. We will see if the young Swarm can sting the Stealth.

(3) 6—Vancouver Stealth (0-1)  Third quarter collapse handed the Stealth their first defeat of the season.  They look to rebound in their home opener against the Swarm Saturday night.

(5) 7—Calgary Roughnecks (0-1) Suffered their first defeat (16-11) as the Rock scored early and often. Calgary kept up on offense but the defense was absent when needed. Mike Poulin looks to rebound as they host the Mammoth Friday night.

(8) 8—Colorado Mammoth (1-1)  Used a six-goal third quarter to defeat the Stealth to even their record at 1-1.  They played well in small doses to escape with the win. Mammoth are in Alberta for two games. Calgary Friday night and Edmonton Saturday night. Dillon Ward looked good in relief of Tye Belanger for a second straight game.

(9) 9—Buffalo Bandits.  Idle this past weekend.  Will host Toronto Friday night, then travel to Philadelphia for a Sunday afternoon game. Important weekend as Buffalo could fall to 0-3
