Week three of the National Lacrosse League is in the books, and the league has announced their players of the week. However, we have our own three stars.
John Grant Jr- Colorado Mammoth
Grant had his usual spectacular game, scoring six goals with two assists as the Mammoth won on the road against the now 0-2 Calgary Roughnecks. He also picked up one loose ball in the overtime win.
Brandon Miller- Philadelphia Wings
Miller has led the Wings to a 2-0 start against both Buffalo and Toronto to start the season. This weekend Miller held Toronto to seven goals in the win for his second victory of the season. He made 53 saves on 60 shots faced from Toronto.
Mark Matthews- Edmonton Rush
Matthews was playing in just his second NLL game as he led Edmonton to a win over the previously undefeated Washington Stealth. He scored four goals with five assists to earn himself rookie of the week honors in the NLL.
