PHILADELPHIA, November 14, 2017 – The National Lacrosse League (NLL), the largest men’s professional indoor lacrosse league in North America, today announced the Twitter Game of the Week schedule for the 2017-2018 season. As the NLL’s live streaming partner, Twitter will distribute a free live broadcast of an NLL Game of the Week, as well as playoff and Champion’s Cup games and league-wide highlights, on its platform throughout the season. Games will also be simulcast live on NLLTV.com, the League’s subscription video hub for Season, Team and Single game subscription holders.
“Last year’s groundbreaking broadcast partnership with Twitter was historic and unlocked the in-arena experience featuring the best players in the world and high energy, non-stop game action to an unprecedented number of viewers. The future of the sports viewing experience is digital, and we aim to build upon our broadcast by enhancing the fan experience not only by making the game more accessible to audiences, but also enable them to converse with others as well,” said NLL Commissioner Nick Sakiewicz. “Our Twitter Game of the Week is back for another year bringing the electric power of the athletes and NLL competition to our ever-growing fan base each week.”
Both logged-in and logged-out Twitter users in the U.S. and Canada will be able to stream the NLL games at NLL.twitter.com and via @NLL on computers, tablets and mobile devices – increasing the accessibility of the League to fans and expanding its digital presence across North America.
