Philadelphia Wings Sign Pat Saunders to One Year Deal

Philadelphia Wings have signed Pat Saunders to a one year deal.  Saunders had a cup of coffee with the Wings in 2012.  Saunders also has spent time with the Minnesota Swarm and Toronto Rock.  Saunders was a sixth round selection of the Chicago Shamrox back in 2008.

Saunders took part in the Wings free agent camp on November 17th and earned a spot on the 40 man camp roster with his play during the camp.  This past weekend the Wings opened camp with 37 players fighting for 20 active roster and 4 practice squad spots.

Saunders had a very good weekend as there were four sessions held at the practice facility in Lansdale, Pa.

The Wings will gather again, this time in Buffalo the weekend of December 6-8 when they will have two scrimmages versus the Bandits.

With Saunders play this past weekend he should be on the list going to Buffalo to fight for a spot. This will be the final chance for players to make their case to be on the final roster.  The final roster needs to be handed into the league on December 16th.

Saunders hopes that this time he has found a home and not just another cup of coffee.

If he continues his determined play as he did this past weekend, he will find himself on the active roster.
