Players to Watch at the NLL Prospects Combine

Before the NLL draft on Monday night, the NLL will host a prospects combine and prospects game on Sunday. We take a look at some prospects and free agents to watch.

Don Alton: Alton is a goaltender who declared for the draft early. He had a goals against average of 5.81 with the Six Nations Arrows junior team this season and is making a case to be one of the goalies drafted in a goalie deep draft class.

Mitch Wilde- Wilde is a transition man with the Kitchener- Waterloo Kodiaks. He is a very fast player on the defensive side but needs work on offense.

AJ Laffin- Laffin has played Sr B with the Rochester Greywolves and with the Rhode Island Kingfish of the North American Lacrosse League.

Dylan Goddard – Goddard dominated the Jr B circuit this summer but some have wondered how that translates to the NLL. This is a good opportunity to watch his skills against other prospects.

Connor Daly- Daly played with the Toronto Shooting Stars of the Canadian Lacrosse League in 2013. He had 24 points in 13 games and he was drafted by the Buffalo Bandits in 2011 but never played.

Ethan O’Connor- O’Connor is the best defenseman in the draft other than Jason Noble out of Brampton. He is projected to be a late first round pick.

Jake Davis- Davis played defense with the Newtown Golden Eagles of the CanAm league along with the Kentucky Stickhorses in NALL.

Nick Diachenko- A bit of a risk after not playing much box lacrosse the last few years, this is a good chance to see his skills in game form. He is projected as a late first or early second round pick.
