With the upcoming NLL draft and the Mann cup beginning Friday all eyes will be on the rookies in the Mann Cup.
For the Shamrocks all eyes will be on Jesse King and Brandon Bull. King will be a familiar name for any Canadian Lacrosse fan as he had an outstanding Mann cup for Victoria last season. This season King has been even better as he had 13 goals and 28 assists for 41 points in the regular season. King continued his success in the playoffs as he has 8 goals and 22 assists for 30 points. King will be on many NLL teams wish lists due to his playmaking abilities as he can give any offense that extra edge.
Brandon Bull has made a name for himself this season with the Shamrocks scoring 9 goals and 16 assists for 25 points. While in the playoffs he has been quiet with just 2 goals and 2 assists but he could have a break out Mann Cup. Bull will be on teams list as he can be a good depth player for any team and contribute with limited minutes.
Both are 2015 NLL draft prospects.
On the other side of the ball Six Nations has their own young gun in Randy Staats. Staats had a phenomenal regular season scoring 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points. Staats has not done much in the playoffs so far having only 1 assist but he is due to break out. Staats has a lot of potential and is a balanced threat that many NLL teams will be looking for at the draft.
Overall do not be surprised if the young guns take control of the Mann Cup as they try to make a lasting impression on all the NLL scouts before the 2015 draft.
