Powell As Good As Ever with Bayhawks

Casey Powell is back in Major League Lacrosse, and after just one game he seems to be the force he always has been in the league.“It feels great to be back and even better to play for a great organization like the Bayhawks.” said Powell. “The team is deep in both talent and character and I couldn’t be in a better situation than this.”

Last week Powell scored to send the game against the Boston Cannons into overtime. He scored three goals in the game. “Big win in front of a great crowd. Also a game that meant a lot to our playoff push.”

The Bayhawks are in third place in the league with a chance to clinch a playoff spot if they can defeat a very tough, 11-0 Denver Outlaws club.

“We are stacked with talent and poised to compete for the cup. I drool over the many weapons we have. Stacked at all positions. “

Powell left MLL last season, retiring after a suspension. In a surprising move the Bayhawks drafted him in the supplemental draft from the Hamilton Nationals. So why did he come back?  “Love to compete and always strive to be a champion.”
