As the Clax Season gets ready to begin here’s the first power rankings for Clax season two.
1. Durham Turfdogs- The Turfdogs has one of the strongest offenses in Clax last year and this year will be no different expect Aaron Grayson, Scott DeFrancesco and Dan Ransom all return making the Turfdogs early favorites heading into the season.
2. Niagara Lock Monsters- The former Peel Avengers look to be rejuvenated this year as they made some major trades in the offseason to acquire home grown talent Ben Favereo, Dylan Llord from Brampton who were two of the top scorers in Clax. The Monsters have one of the deepest teams in Clax so they will be a force to be reckoned with this year.
3. Oshweken Demons- The current creators cup champions are once again one of the top three teams in Clax thanks to having star forward Chris Atwood and goalie Jeff Powless. Expect the Demons to be tough to beat this season.
4. Brampton Inferno- The Inferno took an interesting path this off season opting to draft players already drafted to the NLL and it seems to have backfired on them as they lost out on both Curtis Knight and Dhane Smith. The Inferno will see on defense Bradley Kri along with goalie Steve Fryer and Nick Inch who all will help boost the Inferno and make them one of the toughest teams in the league.
5. Iroqouis Ironmen- Last year’s runner up in the creators cup look to be competitive this year but the teams around them have gotten much better so they will be in for a battle.
6. Toronto Shooting Stars– On paper the Stars look like a solid team but they will remain lower in the rankings until the prove they can produce on the floor.
7. Barrie Blizzard– The Blizzard are the biggest wild card team as they are the only CLax team to be made up through the expansion draft. The Blizzard have looked to build a strong team on paper but it remains to be seen how they will work as a team so they are last in the Power Rankings.
