When those of us in the lacrosse world hear the name Jordan Hall, the first thing that comes to mind is how he was involved in a blockbuster trade in 2012 that sent himself, Robbie Campbell, Joel White and Paul Rabil from Rochester to Philadelphia for Dan and Paul Dawson abd a first round pick in 2016.
Fast forward 21 months later and Jordan Hall is back in Rochester after they acquired him on draft day fron NewEngland for the 11th & 28th overall selection in 2014 as well as a first round 2015 pick. Once the trade was finalized the Knighthawks wasted no time in signing Hall to a 5 year deal.
The large window size poster of Hall that faces out into the street from the Blue Cross Arena (War Memorial) was never taken down when he was traded to Philadelphia.
Hall will enter his eighth season in the National Lacrosse League. Hall was the number one overall pick in the 2007 entry draft by the New York Titans out of the University of Delaware. While playing for the Blue Hens Hall registered 85 goals and 56 assists in his four years in Delaware. In 2006 he was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year, and in 2007 he help lead the Blue Hens to the NCAA Div 1 Final Four.
While with the Titans (NY-2008-2009, Orlando-2010) he tallied 65 goals/159 assists. with his best year being in 2009 (25G/56A). Once the Titans folded, Hall was selected by the Knighthawks in the dispersal draft (3rd overall). In his first two seasons with the Knighthawks Hall had 25G/46A. Then on December 14, 2012 was the blockbuster deal, just 7 months after Rochester won the Champions Cup.
In 2013 his first year with the Philadelphia Wings he tallied 14 G/28A his highest point total since 2010. Meanwhile the Dawson were helping Rochester to title number two in a row. But in 2014 Hall exploded out of the blocks setting a career high in goals with 34 and getting 42 assists for 76 points(second highest, 81 in 2009) in leading the Wings overall in points. Hall also picked up 95 loose balls.
Its very obvious what the Knighthawks goal is, CHAMPIONSHIPS! They are locking players up like Hall (5 years), Dan Dawson (7 years, 5 remaining), and Keogh (4 years) just to name a few.
With Rochester obtaining Hall they are getting who can not only score and feed, but they are getting a player who has started to play like he did in his first three years in the league. If Hall starts 2015 theway he did in 2014, this could be a very fun and excting year in Rochester…AGAIN.
