Offensively, the ball was well distributed as was predicted last week. At least eight different players found the back of the cage in their most recent game (and win) against the Charlotte Hounds. Most of those athletes scored multiple times each.
Jordan Wolf continued to be a feeding nightmare against an opposing defense. He assisted five different times in the Hounds game alone and was one of the players to score twice.
The rest of the Rattlers’ roster should try to take after teammates John LoCascio, Joel White and Mike Manley who have become ground ball vacuums. Between them, a few others and goalie John Galloway, a total of 35 ground balls were recovered against Charlotte. As I always say, “games are won on ground ball recoveries.”
John Galloway improved his single-game performance just like it was hoped. He made 14 saves off 27 shots on goal. He performed consistently throughout the game and was able to create a strong presence in the cage. He especially needs to continue those efforts in the upcoming match against the Denver Outlaws.
The Rattlers are encompassing and utilizing the majority of their active roster. If they can improve on faceoffs, they can be an unstoppable force.
