The Calgary Roughnecks have climbed the western conference’s standings to now sit at 4-2 and in first place after they lost their first two games of the season. The Roughnecks have scored more than any team in the league, along with Washington, and many of those goals come in this streak.
“Just keep playing the way we know how to play.” said ‘Necks rookie Joe Resetarits. “We know its not going to be easy but were starting to click and its going to get better.”
Resetarits, the Roughnecks first round pick, has nine points so far this season, and he says he has enjoyed every second of his first season in the bigs.
“My experience has been awesome. I couldn’t of went into a better situation with a great coaching staff and so many guys to learn from on the offense. every week I just got to keep improving as the season goes on.”
Calgary defeated Edmonton last week when Curtis Dickson scored with :40 left in the game to move to 4-2 on the season. “It was good cause it showed what it takes to finish a close game and that’s what its going to take to get to the finals” said Resetarits.
“We knew you don’t win a championship in two games. We know its a long journey and we know what it takes to be champions.”
