This morning at 2:00am Canadian lacrosse goalie Chris Sanderson passed away from his battle with brain cancer.
Sanderson took a turn for the worse this Thursday after battling the disease for four years. Most people diagnosed with this are given a life expectancy of a year at the most.
Sanderson played in the 2010 world games through the disease, and since has undergone several surgeries and this past March he experienced a dramatic growth of a tumor in his brain.
Sanderson has made huge impacts in Canadian lacrosse and in the National Lacrosse League. He won gold in 2006 over the United States and played again in net in 2010, skipping his treatments to play.
