With Darris Kilgour out in Buffalo, they need to start looking at their next coach. Toronto fired Troy Cordingley in favor of John Lovell, but even with those two on the market, there are several NLL level coaches available.Ed Comeau was the head coach of the Orlando Titans, he is now an assistant coach for the Colorado Mammoth. He applied to be the general manager of Buffalo last season. Would he be an option for the Bandits in 2014? He has experience as a coach with the Toronto Rock for a time in the early part of the decade and has been an assistant in Rochester as well.
Cordingley is the obvious name, as a Champions Cup winning coach in Toronto and Calgary and the coach of the year in 2013. He is also a former assistant coach with the Bandits.
Dave Pym is the western scout of the Rock but is the former coach of the Roughnecks. He was fired after a first place finish a year ago. Would he be able to coach out east?
Finally, some assistant coaches like Bob McMahon, Matt Sawyer and Paul Day are around too. Sawyer hasn’t been a head coach since he coached the Boston Blazers in 2011. He is also the head coach of the Jr A Orangeville Northmen. Day is a former head coach of the year.
Will the Bandits chose to go with an assistant like Dan Teat and Rich Kilgour? Or will they decide to go with a track record? Who do you think should coach the Bandits in 2014?
