In Junior C lacrosse news, the Six Nation Warriors finished their regular season with a perfect 16-0 record. This past weekend they had back to back home games at the ILA. Six Nations took down Halton Hills, 18-7, and Oakville, 10-3.
Besides the first game of the season, a close 11-9 win over Huntsville, the Warriors have been blowing out their opponents all year. This past weekend saw Baily Skye, Riley Jamieson, Bradley Hill, and Tyler Brown all have big games. Baily had five points while Wesley Whitlow scored seven of his own vs. Oakville. Cecil Monture, who caught the eye of many college scouts at the Dicks tournament this winter, has been impressive with just three games played he has scored seven points.
On offense the team is being led by Vern Hill with 72 points. Vern came from playing with Hamilton Junior B. Tyler Brown is second on the team with 70 points and Onondaga Community College commit Isaiah Mt. Pleasant has 54. Bradley Hill and Justin Martin round out the list of top scorers.
Tyler Mackenzie–Foxe has 28 points while being a solid defensive player all season long. Also midget call up Emmitt Smith has been good on defense while adding 11 points in his eight games played. Jeremy Bomberry, who has saw time with the Junior A Arrows this summer, has 14 points in just four games played.
Dylan Busby-Corver has had the starting role in net for the last six games and has been impressive making 112 saves while only letting up 37 goals. With the Six Nation Rebels and Arrows having such great programs the talent pool of the Six Nation reservation is very deep and is the reason why the Warriors are so dominant. This team gives players a shot at playing Junior at a young age and other who have just missed out on roster spots at the B and A level. Watch out as Six Nation looks to keep their winning ways going forward into the playoffs.
