Two-time All American standout from University of Virginia Shamel Bratton has be signed off the New York Lizards Practice squad today by the Charlotte Hounds.
Major League Lacrosse rules state that any player on a teams practice squad are essentially in an open player pool and can be signed at any time. After week four, signing players off a practice squad must immediately but put on the active roster.
Charlotte hosts Boston this weekend, we can expect to see Bratton in a Hounds Uniform.
Where New York neglected to you use Bratton on either ends of the field, Charlotte signs him at a time where they are in dire need of a dodging midfielder. Shamel Bratton is still the all-time leading scorer as a midfielder at University of Virginia.
