Chesapeake Bayhawks attackman Casey Powell announced that he would be returning to Major League Lacrosse on either June 1st or 6th. Powell had retired from MLL last season.
Powell was a member of the Hamilton Nationals last season before being suspended and he decided to retire. The Bayhawks still chose to select him in the MLL Supplemental Draft and now, it’s going to pay off for them.- ILWT News Wire

Leading Victoria was Corey Small who had five points (3g, 2a) along with Scott Ranger with seven points and then Jeff Shattler picked up six. Matt Flindell made 44 saves. The Hamilton Nationals improved to 4-0 after defeating the Ohio Machine (0-4) on Thursday night by a score of 16-9. Hamilton scored three straight goals to start the first quarter but after a trio of Ohio goals, the Nationals only led 7-6 going into the second half. Major Series Lacrosse is pleased to announce that it has agreed to a partnership with Lacrosse Radio Network to present radio coverage of six games during the 2013 season. LRN Radio Director Scott Arnold will have the play by play call of six Peterborough Lakers road games, beginning with the June 8th First Capital Cup against the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks in Kingston.- Scott Arnold
Ryan LaPlante played a total of 9:37 in the game, letting up six goals and making one save before being pulled and replaced by Jamie Faus. After going down 6-0, the Pioneers finally found the back of the net at the 4:11 mark thanks to Collin Scott, who put away his own rebound. Things seemed to be going well for the Tar Heels as they had a commanding 6-1 lead heading into the second quarter. Denver and UNC both scored three times before half to make it a 9-4 game. Langley Thunder host the Coquitlam Adanacs. The Thunder showed off their offensive might in their opening game as they beat Maple Ridge 13-10. While the Adanacs got out classed by the Victoria Shamrocks 10-6 and fell to 0-1 on the season.- David Ashby
